28th Annual Rocky Mountain Coal Mine Rescue Contest - Price, Utah

JWR No. 7 Mine Rescue Team won:

• 1st Place Mine Rescue
• Utah State Governor's Traveling Trophy
•  UMWA Traveling Trophy
• Kenneth V. Forsgren Memorial Traveling Trophy
• 1st Place Combination (Mine Rescue and First Aid scores combined)
• Wilberg Memorial Traveling Trophy* 

*This would be the first time this trophy would leave the state of Utah.  In memory of the Wilberg      Disaster and the teams that worked in their recovery.  JWR No. 7 Mine Rescue Team voted not to take the trophy out of Utah.  Following the banquet, it was given back to the Rocky Mountain Mine Rescue Association with sincere thanks from JWR.

        • S. E. A. T. C. Traveling Trophy

By the way, John Aldrich and Peanut Lee (No. 7 Mine First Aid Team) wanted everybody to        know that they were in a 4 way tie for 1st place in the first aid contest.
