FIRST PLACE
GINA KELLY
Training Center

Gina said she was at a friend's pool which had zinnias planted all around it.  "I followed that butterfly from flower to flower and made about five shots before I got this one," Gina explains.

SECOND PLACE
PAM MORRIS
Central Mining Office

Pam says photography is one of her many hobbies.  "I was shooting at Little River Canyon when I took this photo," says Pam.  "I didn't know there was a lady in the picture until I was viewing the photos afterward."  It turns out that was one of the things the judges liked about the photo.

THIRD PLACE
GARY AULTMAN
No. 4 Mine

Gary and his family were on vacation in England and took this photo of Land's End.  "These cliffs are beautiful," says Gary.  "They are the most westerly point in England."

HONORABLE MENTION
FRANK BAIER

Black Warrior Methane

The judges had picked their 14 favorite photos from the 233 entries and Frank's photo of the Alex smelling a rose just missed the mark of the top three.  Frank works for Black Warrior Methane.
JUDGES' AWARD
MISTY BEAMS
Central Mining Office

This old goat made all three of judges laugh and wanted to give it some type of recognition. Congratulations to Misty (Central Mining Office) for her funny photo.

The 18th Annual JWR Employee Contest winners have been chosen by our three judges.  It took them two and a half hours to whittle down the 233 photos to these winners.  The winner's framed photos are on display at the Training Center.
