2005
July 4th Jubilee in T-Town
Attracts Thousands

The threat of a few thundershowers didn't scare away the crowd for Tuscaloosa's July 4th celebration.  Thousands were treated to old-school games for the kids, live music and fireworks.  The JWR Coal Hogs had dozens of bikes on display that attracted plenty of admiring glances.  Future JWR Coal Hog member, seven-year-old Cody Harris (right), got his first motorcycle ride into town.  He checked out all of the bikes parked in the JWR Coal Hog reserved area.

The JWR sponsored racecar was on hand and is part of the national campaign for "Race to Scouting."  The 12 county area served by the Black Warrior Council of the Boy Scouts is using the JWR sponsored racecar as a recruiting tool.

JWR was also the sponsor for the children's activities area.  Our thanks to the Tuscaloosa Park and Recreation Authority for a great event!

CONCERT TICKET WINNERS
JWR Coal Hog members were eligible to win concert tickets to see Brooks and Dunn or Hank Williams, Jr. when they registered at the July 4th Jubilee.  Winners of a pair of tickets to Brooks & Dunn were: Gary Parra from No. 7 Mine and G. Wayne Smith, retired from No. 4 Mine.  Winning tickets to see Hank Williams, Jr. were:  Mark Aldridge from No. 4 Mine and John Anderson at No. 7 Mine.
