BHS Student Wins iPod
from JWR Contest

Sarah Daniels is presented an iPod by Brookwood High School Principal Laura McBride.

An iPod is all it took to get BHS students looking for the answers to 12 questions about JWR and the coal industry.  For one week, the students had the chance to search JWR web sites for a dozen correct answers.  Sarah Daniels' name was drawn from all correct entries submitted in the contest celebrating the 20
th
Anniversary of the JWR/BHS Adopt-A-School Program. "I really entered to just win the movie passes," says Sarah, a sophomore.  "I'm really excited about winning.  I learned a lot about the coal mines and the gas fields.  The toughest question for me was about McDuffie Island."

Other winners were Greg Colburn & Carra Williamson (movie tickets).  T-shirt winners were Yolanda Lewis and Jessica Ruger (not shown).
