Bevill State Community College was the site of the 28th Annual Alabama Mine Rescue, First Aid and Benchman Contest.  This is the first year the contest has been held at Bevill State, located in Sumiton, Alabama, and the first time outdoors in decades.  Companies competing in the two-day contest were: Peabody Coal, Jim Walter Resources, Drummond Company, The Pittsburg & Midway Coal Company and Bevill State Community College.
